Happy Thursday…
Today I would like to share my thoughts on getting inspired….
Information alone is rarely what motivates people to up-level (that is, to improve or enhance) their health and their lifestyle. It’s necessary that we feel✨ inspired ✨ to make different choices, adopt better eating habits and envision a new future for ourselves. This is a key ingredient that’s missing from most diets and nutrition fads, programs and plans.
I even devoted a whole section of my book to a chapter called Inspire: Fight Your Fears, Find Your Fire & Visualize Your Best Self…
“In between education and transformation comes inspiration. Without the proper vision and motivation, our chances of successfully achieving our goals and realizing our passions are greatly diminished…”
In my coaching sessions and programs, I help you uncover your “Why” – that is, help you establish the motivation behind “why” you’re pursuing becoming a more vibrant and healthy You.
You are far more likely to reach any goal that you have set for yourself when you can clearly articulate your reasons for wanting to achieve it.
Following that, I support you as you tap into the awesome power of visualization to create a vision of success as relates to you living a healthy, happy and energized life.
Being inspired lifts your heart and your spirit towards eating healthier today and encourages you to really take that very important first step. Because whether or not you feel inspired directly impacts your day-to-day decision making, eating choices and your potential for successfully up-leveling your nutrition game and achieving optimal health in the short and long term.
THURSDAY SMOOTHIE RECIPE
Blueberries have been shown to protect against heart disease and cancer, as well as maintain bone strength, mental health, and healthy blood pressure. They benefit your heart, bones, skin, blood pressure, and aid in diabetes management, cancer prevention, keeping your digestive tract healthy, and in boosting mental health. One cup of blueberries contains 24% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C and they’re loaded with antioxidants, gentle fibre, folate (B9), vitamin B6, vitamin K and other phytonutrients. These little sweet berries even contain minerals such as iron, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, manganese, and zinc. What a win! It’s best if you consume wild or organic blueberries.
And now for tahini…Tahini is a ground sesame paste, sort of like peanut butter but sesame seed butter! 😊 Tahini contains a good amount of selenium which acts as an antioxidant and aids in the reduction of inflammation in the body. Sesamol, a natural chemical found in sesame seeds and sesame oil have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging properties. Sesame seeds contain more phytosterols than other nuts and seeds, and these plant compounds have been shown to aid in cholesterol reduction.
This is ‘Food-As-Medicine’ for you! Enjoy your smoothie to the fullest!
